yeah, im definately gonna be picking up that skunk shampoo asap!
You should have seen the look on the conveniece store owners face when we walked in 5 minutes after the mishap.
he immediately began pacing back and forth spraying air freshner EVERYWHERE we went. LOL

Ah yes... the only thing that stinks worse than colubrid poop. Good ol' skunk. Good luck getting the scent out.

Poor dog, well that's teach him lol. My dog got spraied last year it wasn't a fun experiance.

Been there done that. My dog got sprayed when I was a kid. Even with all the home remedies and skunk shampoo he still wreaked.

Grant, perfect home remedy, its worked for me time and time again..
Peroxide, baking soda and dishsoap/laundry detergent.. it works almost instantly, and its safe to use.. Most vets use the same remedy. Good luck man, the smell can make you go insane cant it?

V.hb...i read that somewhere last night, but didn't have any peroxide at the time.
what ratio or...err....how do you go about applying it to the dog..
the smell is actually kinda soothing if you like that burnt rubber smell ;0)

he doesnt look like he likes tomato juice, my dog on the other hand... LOVES tomato she'd be having a ball!

If you know someone who uses Melaleuca products you can probably get rid of the smell in one, maybe two baths with Melamagic and Solumel. The smell does not reappear when the dog gets damp six months from now. I know this from experience.

Grant, I dont know the recipe off hand.. I think its equal parts of each, made up for as much as you need... You have to rub it right into where the dog was hit, then rince it with water afterwords. Good luck
