Sorry to hear about your loss.....These beautiful creatures ,as ourselves, are still governed by the same natural laws that hang above us all. There is no beating providence, no amount of book reading or experiance will change the course of what will be....

Aww.... so sorry to hear that. Hope you'll be ok. Did you get him to a vet before he died? It's always hard to lose a snake. This should be a reminder to all of us that if your snake has a problem that you can't fix, you should get it to a vet as quick as you can. Sorry about your loss

So sorry to hear of your loss Hopefully this story will reach out to those that have the mentality that "a snake wouldn't eat something that was too large for him"... :flick:

thank you all for your kind words, I was just hoping that he held on untill the vet opened. I felt so helpless and angry with myself for inducing the situation - a point Linds hit upon very well.
I still have floyd's sister scarlet as well as two balls a boa and my beardies to be more mindfull with. I used to think I was very knowledgeable about the needs of my pets, I now see how much I have only begun to understand and will never stop trying to be more educated.
Sincerely
andre
