chameleons laying eggs

hey,

you should have put her in a garbage can (the 3 foot high ones) with sand and a stick for her to climb on. This basically makes them lay the eggs. you ussually do this because 90% of the time they won't lay eggs in there enclosure. I have heard about alot of females dieing because they were not given the right place to lay eggs and most of the time its the keepers fault, thinking that there is enought space for them to lay. i know this is hard to believe but females ussually lay 10 - 24 inches down in the sand. never assume that a spot was deep enough. always give extra. well i hope you have better luck next year if you purchase another female. and good luck with the eggs.
