Burms are my absolute favourite, along with papuan pythons (which I haven't gotten yet) and I like anacondas too, both the yellows and the greens!

I have only one burm though, an albino green/patternless.

thanks. I love him. Hes a sweety. Great eater, VERY docile and growing(as people say) like weed. I looked at this guy and said MAN I WANT THAT. I only had 300, but after I asked how much only was out of the sentance. He was 250 so hes pretty affordable. Any pics of your snakes Skin?

P.S.- hes het. albino labryinth thats why he may seem on the high end for labryinths.

Nice pics! I would like to someday breed, but since there are so many rescued burms in shelters, I would not feel comfortable about it. Generally, I like to get a pair of any species I keep.

Hi Don,

Nope, no burms, as the city bylaws wont allow it, not even a pimbura... doh.

Thats good for you. I am actually quite comfortable with Toronto's bylaws (no snakes over 10 feet, no burms, retics, rocks, venomous etc.). Its not all that bad compared to other places. How big is your bci? I have a female too, and she is about 5 feet. Eats like there is no tomorrow. I had a male ball too, but I sold him sometime back.

My BCI female is only about 2 1/2ft maybe bigger now. Shes eats every time, but she will bite it, wrap around, release her bite and sit there for a half hour expecting me to toss in another one. LOL. Did yours ever do that? But as for feeding my ball python is a good eater, as long as hes left alone. As for my burm you could have a huge dog in the cage, with some firecrackers going off outside the cage and he'd take every rat thrown at him, hes an awesome eater.

Big Snakes all the way!!!

Who wants a little pinky eating corn when they can own 20 feet of *** whooping snake. I own a trio of huge burms (two albino and one normal), a yellow head retic, a yellow anaconda, a massive rock python, and a bunch of big boas. Big snakes give an owner an incredible thrill, to watch them hunt and kill their prey is an awesome experience, there really is no other creature quite like them. I loved big snakes from the first day I saw a boa at a friends house (the boa don't seem so big anymore). They are the supreme pinnacle of a snake collection. My favorite is of course the Rock Python, he is all a giant snake should be, strong, fast, intelligent and a mean azz bitch. I love 'em.

You want to liven this forum up how about a size contest, who has the biggest snake, back up your claim with pics!! Mine is my 14' 120 lbs albino burm, followed closely by my 13' 100lbs rock python. Watch the gallery next week for my pics (I got a digi camera coming soon...I can't wait...pics, pics, pics

By the way, no offense was intended to any colubrid owners, I was only kidding, I actually own a number of colubrids as well as my boids. To each there own as they say but here in the giant python forum we like em big, am I right Snakemann87 ?!!

Well as the saying goes "My snake is bigger then your snake!"
