Buuurn baby buuurn!!! WOW! You are a very lucky guy! This is a beauty! Don't you sleep every night before you check that your red baby is doing fine. Small food quantities. Don't rush it to grow up soon to breed it. Although i can imagine how you feel about her future, take your time with this rare red beauty

Thanx again eveyone for the beautiful comments!!

reptilesalonica: yeah I am always checking on the red ones, but then again, I spend a few hours each day playing with all of the boa's in my personal collection, well except a few huge long term captive guyana's, a little too nasty!! but the rest of the collection, I like to pick each one up for at least a few minutes to admire them, I luv boa's. I just dont pick them up for 4 days after they eat. and the ones that i am preparing to breed are only moved during cleaning. but are handled as little as possible. And as for power feeding, i never power feed none of my boa's, i feed them once per wekk for a few weeks then a go bi-weekly for a few weeks and then back to weekly, and so forth.
none of my boa's have small head syndrom as seen in so many other collections. I am in no rush to make morphs, I am not in this for the all mighty dollar, I keep boa's because I luv boa's, i want to create different morphs so that I may have them myself. and if I can make some money to help me to continue to keep and collect boa's then so be it. The more money i can make the more Boa's i can buy, and the more boa's I can buy then the smaller my wish list gets. like boa c. saboga or boa c. ortonii or boa c. orophias, *singing* "someday over a rainbow! "

reptlesalonica, have you ever read the info i have in my boa index on the different local boas i keep, heres a link,

Very good quality of your site! I wish my friend i were there (US) so i could obtain the black belly Boa! I am a Boa fanatic too! I never saw the elegance of Boas in other snakes. Constrictors and Balls are my big love.

Pewter boa

I think a blood x anery would look just like an anery. The blood boas are just more red, correct? Are you trying to make a reference to the pewter corns which are anery and blood red? The blood red gene in corns is quite strange, it really should not be called blood red, but rather the fading gene, as what occurs is that the background colour increases and the blotches fade away. You can have blood red butters and blood red snows. Colour doesn't really have anything to do with it.

Do the blood boas exhibit this sort of pattern fading or are they just red?
