I think you are missing the point. Thermometers and hygrometers won't regulate, they simply measure. You are having to mist 2x day because of the cage and the use of a bulb. Think ahead to 6 or 12 months from now.. do you honestly see yourself misting that enclosure every. single. day. ? Twice daily?

For the best success, consider a different enclosure and heating/lighting system. Will your snake live? Yes... Is it the best situation? No.. You asked for help... This is help. (I am not intending to be snarky, I promise).

Any LED light strip from Lowes or Home Depot will be fine. You may have difficulty in affixing it to the top of your screen lid though.

You're cool man, I appreciate the help. As far as the screened glass enclosure, Im locked in for now, can't spend that kind of money again for another, but I will need a larger enclosure in a few years and I will go a different route. For now all I can really change is lighting and heating. Is there a better way to heat than a basking bulb? I have seen ceramic heaters with thermostat. Let me know. Thank you.

The best advice I’ve read on caring for these or any animals was this “if the animal is eating, pooping, peeing and shedding normally change nothing”. Ie don’t worry about the humidity or temps unless the animal gives you a reason to. I’ve personally raised one of these guys in glass aquariums with screen lids ,overhead heat lamps on newspaper for the first five years of its life with no problems, I rehomed her after five years as I was getting into burms. Breeding is a different story but I don’t think your interested in that from what I’ve read. I mist once a day when they go into blue and stop after they shed and that’s it. I don't mess with a hygrometer but I do run a thermostat.
