Re: new hide ideas?
oh, i love the one made from a bowl! how did you cut the hole and make the edges smooth? i'd have to find someone around here to cut it. there's no place for tools in an apartment. and a do-it yourselfer, i'm not! all the ideas have been super!

Re: new hide ideas?
Use a small axe saw and then just rub the sides with some sandpaper. you can then put your own decoration onto it. most of my snake love them and you can turn them up during shed and put water in it.

Re: new hide ideas?
macandchz, I use a hole saw which makes it very easy to do. What kind of snake(s) do you have (if you don't mind me asking)?

Re: new hide ideas?
I went to Walmart and bought three plastic bowls for 88 cents each. I used one as a water bowl and the other two I cut holes in by heating up a knife on the stove. Not the most natural looking hides but they'll do.
I really love the way that wooden bowl looks! I'll have to keep my eye out for those lol.

Re: new hide ideas?
They don't have to look that way, you can put tree and plant around them. Just deck them out

Re: new hide ideas?
richardhind-great minds must think alike! went to a snake rally yesterday and bought a flower pot cut in a half. the guy said it would make a great hide and the hole is big enough that mac won't scrape the top. yours is prettier though, but i'll dress mine up.
