Piggy, sure, I'll gladly read about them, even if in the end I'll go with another lizard. I just like making research about species and read about them

And yes, blue tongued skinks have really nice diet requirements, as even if you're out of insects you can still offer something different and they won't be neglected because of that.

Great ideas everyone! I wouldn't go with the legless lizard they are all wild caught making them an undesirable first lizard. Has anyone mentioned urumastyx? Their not very involved when setup correctly lots of species are captive bred and they a are more of an impressive and exotic animal then most beginner lizards. Lots of my friends uromastyx have been raised from babies and are very pleasant to be around. Keep em hot and with lots of uv and veggies. Good luck
