Re: Have You Ever Bathed with Your Snake?
One of my snakes tried to give me a shower, not wanting to let go of the (running) shower head. But i have never voluntary gotten in a shower/bath with a snake, and it weirds me out to think about doing so.

Re: Have You Ever Bathed with Your Snake?
They only thing that has ever happen when i put a snake in the tub is they crap, piss or try biting me. All things i don't want to be naked for and in the tub with them when it happens.
As for people swimming with them in pool you could but i wouldn't if the pool any kind of chemicals used it it. Plus never with a bigger snake.

have to admit the first thought in my head after reading this thread title was.....
feck having an adult Carpet Python, hanging off my dangly bits ![Shocked](images/smilies/shocked.gif)
ive bathed snakes on their own to remove retained shed, but would never think of joining them
cheers shaun
P.S. Chuck great point regards all the chemicals in a swimming pool mate

Exactaly what I was thinking. I could see sitting in a kiddie pool (chemical free) with swim trunks on. However as much as I love my snakes I dont have the level of trust to have myself exposed around them. I prefer not to take those kinds of chances with my manhood. Youve got to think thats a warm part of you and I dangle warm mice with tongs. Just dosent sound like the best idea to me.

Re: Have You Ever Bathed with Your Snake?
A pool is one thing, there's a video out there from a documentary a while ago with a few shots of Nigel Marven swimming with a Burmese Python in a pool (while describing the animal, etc).
But taking a bath with snakes? Nope.

Re: Have You Ever Bathed with Your Snake?
Considering that 1) the temperature that is good for them is NOT good for me and 2) it tends to make them poop, uh...
..why would I? Nope.
I enjoy the heck out of watching my garter swim, but I only do so when I HAVE to, and I would much rather not join him.

I tried it one time, but he left when I soiled his water bowl.

Re: Have You Ever Bathed with Your Snake?
I think being beside the tub while bathing my snake helping with stuck sheds would be a little better.. now sitting in a kiddy pool with my nake, more room, little less weird..
my bath would be too hot and im not too interested in sitting in lukewarm water in my bathing suit In my tub.

Re: Have You Ever Bathed with Your Snake?
Reptile owners already have a bit of a stigma, let's not make this a thing please.
