Re: We need more BioActive talk

I changed my setups a while ago and now actually used a screen coz it's so much easier to get all out when you need to renew stuff

Re: We need more BioActive talk

I'm going to be using ABG mix. the tank will be for my rainbow boas with constant 95%+ humidity, so I was just wondering if there's a specific type of screen to use or if you just use regular window screen or what

Window screen it what is generally used. ABG is great. The charcoal prevents the soil from compacting and allows moister to drain through.

Ok, thanks! I've heard good things about ABG and want this enclosure to actually thrive so thats what I'm looking to get It's just gonna be a little expensive to do a 125 gal. tank!

Me either! lol, it's probably not gonna look the greatest just planted but once it grows out it'll be amazing! I sure hope the snake enjoys it, lol. I'll make sure to post pics

Y'all using Springtails in your snake enclosure? I was going to order some to increase the Bio.

Re: We need more BioActive talk

I used them in my last enclosure, I would definitely recommend using them.

Yeah, springtails, beetles, some snails even (from the woods, not buying them). Also saw some crickets/grashoppers which were food for spiders, but managed to escape into the snake vivs (guess between sliding doors???)
