Re: Most intriguing snake?

I would have to agree about the Atheris hispida just because of their looks, what a mesmerizing snake that is!

But there are so many intriguing snakes! Like the Golden sea snake, that can see predators coming.. With its tail! Or the Erpeton tentaculatum, (tentacle snake) with those awesome tentacles that detect prey, and it just lashes out lightning fast to catch it. And who can forget the ' flying snake' that can glide 100 meters by spreading out its ribs?

So many awesome snakes...

Re: Most intriguing snake?

Vipers are all pretty beautiful, but I am the most intrigued with old world rat snakes. I don't really know why.. I just find myself looking at pictures of them the most. I really want a Taiwanese Beauty snake or a Red-tailed green rat snake.

Re: Most intriguing snake?

I wouldn't say this is most intriguing, I have to agree on Atheris hispida.. They look amazing. This is a snake I thought looked really interesting though. Liophidium Pattoni or Bright Pink Snake.

Re: Most intriguing snake?

Xenodermus javanicus, the Dragon Snake.

A few quick google searches indicate that there is very little known about this snake, either in the wild or in captivity. I'd like to find out if anyone is keeping it successfully, but haven't really seen anything to that effect.

And it looks cool!
