Thanks for the greetings and knowledge, everyone. That's good to read about the large rats because I've read on some sites that people were giving their adult Dumeril's small rabbits. I don't know where I'd find those. I was worried I would have to start breeding them. Rats are easy to find.

I'm happy with slow growth. It makes it easy to adapt to their needs, instead of having to get used to it in a year, like with some pythons.

Hello, my husband has a 7+' dumeril (we do not know her age). She is the calmest snake, but we can't pet her cause she will pee on you. Anyway we were feeding her a x-large to jumbo every other week. Come to find out that it is too much as she is getting plump. We were told to take her down to every 4 weeks unless she starts dramatically losing weight then every 3 weeks.
