Re: success

so funny how snakes can have such different temperments. the ball python i had would NEVER strike or act in any way agressive unless he saw/smelled a rat being dangled to him. it was funny also to compare his weak, little strikes to the boas who get so angry with their feeding responses sometimes lol.

Well Bo was real sweet to and then I made a mistake got bit and I guess because my whole family was in the room freaking out he must have got freaked out himself so he was reall aggressive for about fiv3 days today he seems much better keeping my fingers crossed

Re: success

if anything just give him a few days in between handlings. sometimes i feel bad that i only take my snakes out once or twice a week, but when i have them out they just want to get away and find somewhere to wedge themselves in and hide anyway, so i might as well just let them hang out in their vivs. lol

Re: success

Yeah I take him out almost every day for atleast 20 min unless he is shedding and I was moving him into another feeding box and it was moving him from that box I got tagged it was my fault I was paying more attention to my 2 year old and watching tv didn't realize he was still in feeding mode and because I wasn't feeding him enough he was still wanting to eat and the rest is history

I thought that SAME thing about mine, too. And then I got tagged and yes... My Boas, even as four and five (and my 8 footer) all produce way worse bites. Even my youngins.

Re: success

Havent had alot of free time latly my 2 yr old human has been sick just wanted to let u guys know bo my ball is doing great I changed the bedding to newspaper and I am now feeding him three mice at a time and he has not been agressive at all thank u all so much I wish I was more educated about snakes so I could be more active in these threads I love reading them though yall all know so much bo is shedding right now and not as easily as before do u think that could be due to the change in bedding just curious

Re: success

Just raise the humidity. My snakes always shed fine on newspaper! To raise the humidity, spray his cage down with water. I spray either 8-16 sprays or until two walls are covered in droplets. No specific reason, just seems to work good like that (for me, anyways)

Re: success

You probably shouldn't hold him at all when he sheds. Might be why he's having a bad shed. Doubt it, but it's possible

Re: success

I held him today because my daughters been sick so I havebt held him in about four days thats how I noticed the sheeding it might be normal because I usually dont hold him while hes shedding I dont usually get to see it until hes already shed it sll and I pick it up out of the enclosure I think I might have just got a glimpse of the pre shed today which I dont udually see so tomorrow I should know more
