Question Bearded Dragon basking spot problem

Hi all,

Basically I've just purchased a bearded dragon with a full set up. However I've been given the thermostat which has had hole pre drilled in the top of the vivarium at the center for the probe, however there's no thermometer for me to monitor the basking area temperature? Any ideas what I can do, I assumed this would have been in with the setup unles these beardies are different (that from a Bosc monitor anyway)

Update

There is a thermometer on the middle (I assumed this was a humidity gauge until I turned the light on)

So where should I place this thermometer to get the basking spot measurement? When I had a Bosc I had a digital thermometer with two probes and if place one probe directly under the basking spot to get an accurate reading

Cheers

Re: Bearded Dragon basking spot problem

Probably right intop of the basking spot ( where the Dragon will sit to bask) might want to get a ir temp gun too just to be safe and to double check temps.
