Great snake. Love how they don't get to big. Mines a pygmy. Are there sidewinders that aren't pygmys that get really big ?
I have never heard of a "Pygmy sidewinder"... I'm sure there are certain locals that are dwarfed due to habitat restrictions but those usually aren't genetically dwarfed.
Where did you hear about a Pygmy sidewinder? what's the sub species?
I'm new to rattlers but at the Hamburg expo the label on the tupple wear sad pygmy sidewinder and that's what the seller refered it as. Not really sure. If they don't have pygmy sidewinders does that mean I just have a side winder. Maybe they call it pygmy as a nickname bc it's a smaller specie of rattler. Not sure

Not sure why they called it that but it's wrong. Maybe they called it that so people where more likely to buy it, either way it's a cool snake!
