Need help with my enclosure please!

So I am looking at getting a ball python and have been getting some conflicting information. I was told that I should get a closed enclosure and keep the humidity at about 60% but when I started trying to find tanks I was told that they don't need high humidity and that a large water bowl will do just fine as well as a screen top... Anyways I am just wondering who is right as I don't want to listen to one or the other and find out that it is harmful to have high humidity or low.

Enclosed and 60% will work much better than a screen top!

I keep the humidity up in my enclosures with eco earth on the bottom and reptibark as a top layer. You can also partially cover the screen top with a piece of plexi or something to help keep the humidity up. And if that doesn't work you can always mist the tank each morning. Maybe 2x a day during shed.
