Re: On cloud nine.
Congrats again chuck. I'm really glad your first year is turning out so great.
Nothing better then seeing this when you put the flashlight up to the egg.

One of the most beautiful site to see when breeding.
Side note my big girl that laid first went 31 days from prelay shed.
The smaller girl went 34 days. She laid one egg less but way plumper eggs.

Re: On cloud nine.
This female, 14 year old normal ball python, had last year off but the year before whent I want to say 34-35 days. My other female balls have laid in the 27-29 day range. She does make some big eggs now that you mention it, that's one of hers in my pic. The waiting part of breeding is something I'm terrible at. I'm like the most impatient person. No problems with waiting for them animals to get to breeding age but after prelay I'm like a little kid waiting on Christmas.

Re: On cloud nine.
I know the feeling. The second clutch should hatch right around or on my birthday. Now that would be a awesome gift.

Re: On cloud nine.
That would be the best birthday supprise. Fingers crossed for you man. Can't wait to see the little short tails. If I remember correctly don't they take longer then any other python to shed for the first time? Like 12 weeks or something crazy.

Is it just the one? How's the humidity? Just keep waiting, I've had slugs attached to the clutch of eggs(not seperated) mold really bad and it doesn't affect the good eggs so its not a rush to to get it out if its bad.

It just the one so far. They are all separated. When she laid them it was the first pair that was stuck together and a pulled them apart. I almost reaped the egg. So after that i was super careful pulling them apart. the dent is right where it was stuck to the other egg. For some reason on the one egg the dent gotten bigger but not the other egg. Humidity is 80% and temp 89F.

Could be fine, just wait it out. You'll know if it goes bad. I'm to worried about damaging the eggs so I just leave them in a clutch.

The guy i am breeding with told me if you with in the first hour or so of them laying the eggs you should be ok. I got luck and caught the big girl just as she was finishing laying. The Chrome head i actual got to see her push out the last egg. It sucked that i didn't have my camera on me but still cool getting to see it.

Re: On cloud nine.
I know what you mean, I've had a chance to get a really good pic if I kept a camera in my snake room.
