What type of boaphile cage should I get?

My Costa Rican boa is getting bigger and I need to give him a bigger cage. Right now he's in a ten gallon reptile cage that you can get from Petsmart. I'm thinking of getting him a cage from this site:

Plastic Reptile Cages, Tanks and Racks. Snake, arboreal, lizard and turtle light weight custom flexwatt heated enclosures.

Anyone have experience with them? Are they good? What cage, and options, would you get for a Costa Rican boa that's close to 30 inches long? Any other site recommendations?

Thanks.

I have a few Boaphile cages that I bought used for venomous and I've been very happy with them.

If you haven't already, check out the enclosures from animal plastics, pvccages and constrictors northwest. I have two t10's from animal plastics and very satisfied.

What do you guys think is better, hinged glass doors or sliding glass doors? The snake cant get out with sliding glass doors, can it?

Either one, sliding doors give you more visibility, I like swing doors myself. Just be sure a get a sliding door lock if you choose sliders. Snakes are amazing escape artists.

I think any of the main stream plastic cages will be a good choice, so long as it is sized and set up properly.
I am partial to the Boaphile, love the folded bonded construction

Re: What type of boaphile cage should I get?

I just placed my order from PVC cages with the heater as well as three perches. I trusted Sharthuns opinion and went with the hinged door so I'm looking forward to getting his new cage. it should be a lot nicer than his crappy cage from petco.

Another question for your guys...this is more of an equipment question but what type of hydrometer do you guys use? I'm looking for one that is fairly accurate.

Great choice! Jim has a good reputation for customer service and builds a top quality cage.

Cool, as Larry mentioned, you can't go wrong choosing one of the mainstream plastic cage vendors. Just curious, which size cage did you order from pvccages?

I went with this one:

24w x 24t x 24d - Quick Assembly | Snake Cage and Reptile Cage at PVC Cages

I'll be assembling it myself.

Nice looking cage! I almost went with pvccages when I was looking at enclosures! Post pics when you get it setup.

I prefer hinged...it's easier to get to the entire enclosure, and cleaning the slide area can be a real pain.
