Good Lizard?

Hey, my buddy is looking for a good lizard. We know about the leopard geckos, anoles and bearded dragons... but do you know of anything else that would be a good first time lizard?

Thanks!

Re: Good Lizard?

Blue tongue skinks are a good option.

Re: Good Lizard?

Uromastix are very hardy and much more interesting than the beardies.

Re: Good Lizard?

Blue-tongued skinks = good, medium-sized (not too big, not too small or fragile like a gecko). Not very fast, short stubby legs so they can't get away from a child easily. Very forgiving with diet & habitat. And they can be potty-trained!

Just add heat, balanced diet and diggable substrate.

Re: Good Lizard?

Crested geckos or gargoyle geckos. Both great for first time lizards.
