Re: New ideas to make your life easier

I'd like to see a weighted stainless water bowl with vertical sides so the snake can't flip it. In different sizes. I think there are some out there but I haven't found them exactly like this.

An extended gripping handle on an arm that can grasp the water bowl for removal from the cage, and putting it back in. This would be for hots and animals that are very aggressive.

A cage that has lighting and heat built in with no exposed cables wires or probes.

Long tweezers for feeding that have a mechanical advantage to hold the food item easier. (requires less force to hold the rodent without dropping)

I'm not a fan of cages with sliding doors, but would like to see one with a better way to lock the doors. A built in latch/lock system of some kind.

A line of high quality artificial plants made specifically for animal enclosures. They would hold up well under the abuse of feces and cleaning. They would be available in species that look more like plants from the animals native habitat. A mounting system that secures them to the cage sides would be useful.

Better artificial perches for arboreal cages that don't cost a fortune. Also a better mounting system for real and artificial perches.

An adapter that fits over the opening of glass tanks that has a sliding or hinged door made onto it so the tank can be laid on its side and used as a conventional enclosure.

An accurate hygrometer that is reasonably priced and works like a temp gun, point and shoot for a reading.

Inexpensive thermal image camera.

Great ideas!
