Once the blue goes away, every snake looks normal right before it sheds. Your snake is doing what every other snake does, this is normal.

Soaking can have the opposite affect on the ability to shed and make it more difficult for the snake. I have never soaked or sprayed any of my snakes to encourage shedding. Make sure the humidity is correct and be patient.
