No cons from me....I love my Diamonds.
You really don't keep them any different than you would any other carpet but, I tend to keep all my animals a little cooler than most keepers.....which would be the best suggestion for Diamonds.
I personally believe that no snakes wants to kept at 88-90 all the time. My animals do fine in a ambient temp of 79-82. They get a basking spot (during the sunlight hours only) of 95-97 and at night....nada. The cool end during the day reaches about 84 and at night...down to 74 or so.
They are manageable size wise....getting around 7 feet average and, are mostly placid animals. Just awesome snakes.
The only Con I can think of is getting pure ones. There are only a few people I trust in the states that can offer "pure" Diamonds.
Gary Valle, Josh Easter, Tom Crutchfield, Doug Price...anyone of these guys will get you hooked up.
