Re: Will anything bad happen?

You know I'm reading a lot of comments telling him gloom and doom but most of the people speaking have not got any experience.

Dollars to donuts says they will ignore each other. It isn't breeding season,he doesn't have a female and there isn't any food present. Critical thinking will make you all look a lot more intelligent. Keeping your mouths closed will make you look like geniuses!

Now I read this and facepalmed. Bad idea. Why? Because you are putting them both in a very small and escape proof space. Try putting them both in the same open room. You should be able to see how they interact just fine. It gives them space to avoid each other if necessary. It also give you room to maneuver if you need to intervene.

Personally I wouldn't recommend you do it but that's based on your experience.

This. Housing snakes together is fine, but if and only if you are smart about it, which means similarly sized snakes in a very large enclosure, meaning room size. I would not keep two males together either, as if they think it's breeding season, they will go at it, no matter how much you explain to them that it's not the breeding season..

But housing 2 snakes, similarly sized, in 2 enclosures, half a room sized each, would be better and eliminate any risks, no matter how unlikely.

To squirtle, its not advised for anyone to come here and ask a question, and then talk about the one providing an answer and call him a newbie. Who cares if you've been keeping snakes for 100 years, that doesn't make it right.

I went overseas and told an old man, you shouldn't smoke, its not good for you. You know what he told me? I've been smoking for 60 years, and my father smoked for his whole life, how are you going to tell me its not good for me!

Be more respectful, especially when YOU asked them for an answer.
