Ophionyssus natricis ~ Snake Mites..

Hi has anyone tried/used the 'TAURRUS' Biological control of snake mites?

If so can I have your results please,
like your experiences using this natural option,
how effective was it?
Did numbers lessen, did any go Awall?
What set up it was used in & what species?

Any information, input from anyone who has personal experience using this form of mite cure & preventive , I would be very grateful for.

Be it Positive or Negative I need to know as much as possible as soon as.

Cheers

Taurus - Insecticides, acaricides - Crop protection
"Highly effective contact acaricide against a wide spectrum of grass-feeding mites at all growth stages."

1. Buy reptile relief and provent a mite
2. Put your snake into another container and spray it with reptile relief
3. Spray everything and your enclosure individually with provent a mite (Not the snake)
4. Let everything dry out
5. Put your snake back in it's enclosure
6. Rinse and repeat a week or two later

Thumbs down Re: Ophionyssus natricis ~ Snake Mites..

TAURRUS is not an insecticide! lol
It is natural. Bugs that eat snake mites & larvae ect. Clearing substrate all interior of enclosure plus on snake, under scales too!

Did ask for anyone who has used Taurrus mite control.

I don''t believe chemicals are good in any way as nature perfected cures to everything & is perfect all the time!
Man made crap is just a poor substitute which causes more problems than it fixes, in the long run & then it's too late. Damage Dopne!

Thank you anyway

If you don't plan on ever using chemicals you might as well go find a hole in the middle of the woods to live in. I can't find a single thing about "TAURRUS" that says it's natural in anyway.

Taurus SC, Taurus Insecticide/Termiticide - Free Shipping

HaHaaa Not Surprised at all!!!!!!
Will post picture evidence maybe you'll understand it better?
Doubt it though....

As I asked before would you please read thread & if you can be of any help then post on it, if not why are you wasting time picking points, moaning & contradicting facts just because you know nothing about the subject!

I'm off to my hole in the woods now so GoodBye sheep person?

What is a "sheep person" and if you can show me whatever magical non-chemical mite killer you're talking about please do.

What is an Organic Chemical?

I believe she's on about predator mites? Just a guess but some people have used them and had good luck with them..

Right there is a Reptile store in a city not far from where I live. It's a well known one & has the only 'Tai Pan' {is that right?} in UK & Europe I believe. Not even the zoo's have one! They breed rare breeds on breeding programs.
It's name is 'pilbara reptiles' they have a website. Look on there & click on the 'mite control' in menu, there you will see this Taurrus mite control & all details.
Or taurrus antiparasite vivant lol It's the way to go, but all depends on price...
Hope this helps

In which case it is natural with no chemicals.... Think people need to think before telling others they're wrong.

Re: Ophionyssus natricis ~ Snake Mites..

I have heard good things about them but never used them myself (and hopefully will never have to rid my collection of mites again) I went to pilabra just before Christmas to collect a snake from there and I was very impressed with the shop

Why are you talking to his Johnson?

Actually these were discussed in another thread and they said they didn't work too hot.

TAURRUS isn't even on any trademark registry but they use the symbol showing they are and they just put some snake mites into a container and named it? I used every type of search I could with no luck of finding TAURRUS. If anyone had ever used this I'm sure someone would have spoke about it once or twice. Doesn't seem entirely legit.
