Yes I am doubling the cage size, however I could feed them in the middle of my meadow, and they would still compete over the food.
I take Littlefoot and lock him in a different box while I feed them.
Then I wait 15-20 minutes for them to simmer down and put him back in.
Another great observation is that they both know the sound my camera makes when I turn it on, they could be down in the burrow, they hear that tone (it's a long beeping sound) and come running for food.
Even if I am not going to feed them, they associate that sound with dinner time.

That is what I was thinking. He must have at least hurt her fairly bad. She is just tough enough to hide it. I wouldn't want to see her loose her let at the hip! I hope that once they get a bit larger and more confidence you can still allow them to live together but I take it the chances of that are very slim?

I keep the survailance cam on them most of the time, and they only carry on like that when food is offered.
I have spoken with others who keep pairs, and it seems to be common.
As for Cera's leg, she limped around for about ten minutes. I did not sleep well that night, Kept checking on her.
I will video Littlefoot when I take him out, he has a major shitfit when he sees me feeding her while he is locked in the other enclosure.

This has to be the most epic tripod yet.
Littlefoot saw the bucket of food, and as soon as the door opened, he flew out of that cage like he has never been fed.
He ate out on the floor. This one lizard slammed 8 rat pups and 16 night crawlers!!
