Good eye Steve, No it's shed.
These two are always shedding off pieces of skin, It's normal for the species. The fact that they are always caked in dirt makes the patches stick out more.

It's only Littlefoot, Whenever Cera gets out (she's taken to leaping off the front sill lately) she's hell on wheels once the feet hit the floor.
I wouldn't trust my little flimsy barricades with Cera.

Off and on.
They take nips at each other when I'm there. Most likely a competitive food driven thing.

Cool video! Im jealous as mine sounds more like Cera. I cant really let mine out like that since it just grabs the food and then immediately tears off. Last time I let it near the floor it shot back under one of the other enclosures and just hissed at me for about half hour.
Always handy to have friends with big toys like that eh?! Especially when you have such great dirt to use.

I am letting that compost down now. It was a big hardwood stump, The grinder destroyed the stump and stirred it into the dirt.
That's half the beauty of living in such a small town. It's easy to get favors from the highway department.
