Re: Littlefoot & Cera (New video & pictures)
I only wish I had my camera with me....
Last night I went in to feed the lizards and they were nowhere to be seen in the cage.
So I am sitting in front of their cage with food and suddenly I notice the dirt heaving up in the middle of the cage. (Think "Tremors" - the movie) and the dirt is moving, it mounds up slightly when I see the tip of a snout sticking out.. then Cera smelled the food and the ground erupted as a monitor lizard popped out leaving a sink hole in the middle of the cage.
A few moments later, the same exact spot moves some more, and out pops Littlefoot.
I can only assume they were both in the tunnel and extremely close to each other at the time.

Thanks, they suck down some serious chow for their size. If I didn't breed my own food, I would go broke keeping them fed.

Re: Littlefoot & Cera (New video & pictures)
Littlefoot just got his first encounter outside the enclosure today, he jumped off the sill to the floor, then bit me when I put him back...
Still climbing walls no problem...
Hey, what's out there??

No injuries, and if it turns to bloodshed, I will split them up.
I am being told that this is normal behaviour, they are still trying to establish who the alpha is.
