Space Shuttle

I'm sad to see that the us space program has had another set back with the space shuttle Columbia breaking apart on reentry.

yea i mean it does sound far fetched that it was attacked.. but.. first time an israeli was in space... .. he was with americans and a girl of middle eastern descent...what are the chances the shuttle would go .. last one was 17 years ago .... This all happened during times of talk of a world war 3... (does anybody realise how many countries are involved here?? it seems canada and the swiss are the only ones not yelling and screaming!!!)....
The shuttle was an american shuttle... it was checked and re checked and checked again... since the Challenger NASA does not want to take any chances.... I saw that shuttle take off (i'm about an hour from cape canaveral and u can see take offs perfectly.. my mom was with me and i said "that shuttle is going down" and she said "shut up what are the chances" .. now this.. i'm telling you something not cool happened...

... Malfuctions; Everyone who seems to think that it was destroyed forgets how high the craft was.. Not only couldnt ground missles reach the craft, if it was by a an airborn force Im sure someone would of noticed..
It's sad sure, but they knew what they were getting into when they signed up..

I can't see why an isreali would sabatoge the shuttle, specially when the isrealies depend on the united states for support in the middle east.

Although the shuttle is a marvel of technology it's still a flying brick with wings. It wouldn't be the first time a technical problem caused the shuttle to be destroyed.

It was 200,000 feet high when it broke up. This is well beyond the reach of conventional weapons and aircraft. The mostly likely occurance was structural damage caused by the shuttle coming in at the wrong attitude and not being able to correct it. The stress of re-entry is enormous and the slightest of errors are catastrophic.

True dat.

They probably said the same thing when the challenger went down. MAybe the russians tampered with it. Give me a break man. Way too many conspiracies in the world today and they should all stop. And this world war 3 stuff is stupid and I hate to say it but I hate and have no respect for George bush anymore. You cannot achieve peace through war. it's just not possible. You cannot bring justice of murder by murdering others. That's why me and many other canadians do not want our country to be a part of this Rediculous war. It's pointless. Think about this for a sec. I got this quote from somewhere
"You Can Bomb The World Into Pieces... But you cannot bomb the world into Peace." So true. I am done here.

I never had respect for george.. and i don't recall saying the israeli did it.. in fact i think i said i think he did NOT doit.. and i don't recall saying a surface to air missle took it out... for that matter.. i don't even recall giving ideas on HOW it was taking out.. all i was saying was i don't think it was an accident. There are a lot of people at Nasa.. and it's not so hard to get a job there.. i worked with a guy who is now working for nasa and has access to the shuttle. Contrary to what many belive.. it isn't hard at all to get a job in which you have access to any shuttle at nearly any time.and JeromeRules, i was only 2 back when the challenger blew up .. but for some reason i remember it clearly.. i was sitting in my living room right before school with my friend jesse (my mom carpooled us to school) and i saw it blow up .. my mom said the whole week i was saying "man fix it?" and i DO remember that there wasn't many people thinking the russians did it. maybe a few but that wasn't that all around thought... now i just turne don the news at 5, and even they said "many people are wondering if this explosion was planned and on purpose" they are investigating it (which they would do anyway) I may be wrong.. but to me this is too big of a coincidence.

Nobody attacked the shuttle.. It was said that the heat tiles didn't absorb the heat while attempting to pass through the atmosphere and the shuttle literally disintigrated. I dont think thats a terror attack.. And the terrorists (alqueda etc) dont have the technology to actually take over nasa and its shuttles..
airplanes and shuttles = big difference. I think people are quick to jump to conclusions because of all the terror in the past.

It's really scary, though, because that thing scattered all over east Texas! Right near me!! My mom told me to say something if I spot an arm or limb, I almost cried... that was so gross! Well, anyway I dunno much about what was going on, but they're making a huge deal out of it, which is probably reasonable, but still... it gets really annoying to hear them talk about the same thing for 2 days on ever news channel.

you probably wouldn't find any body parts from the shuttle, if you do find body parts something sinister is going on but not related to the shuttle.
