Re: Boom-Boom update
I really need a borneo, Boom Boom has the coolest face ever! Can really see the suboculars on her in that close up. Her sides are a really cool colour too, sandy beach colour! I've always thought borneos were the drab shorties, but they have more colours then any!

Re: Boom-Boom update
She was really tense because she was on a smooth surface with nothing to hang on to, so you really don't get to see her girth like when she's at rest, but she's a pretty girl all the same.
Her face is a really vibrant gold colour with lots of pink blushing, and her sides are surprisingly Burmese colour. Her base brown is nice and fluid as it extends down her sides and her creams are very creamy, lol.
You really have to see her in person to get a true idea of her, though. She's fearless, fun and very intrepid, albeit without much grace when she's climbing around, but her sheer determination to climb is respectable and she's surprisingly capable of getting quite far off the ground when she wants to

Re: Boom-Boom update
Well thanks everyone! I'm pretty happy with her considering a breit is not something I'd have ever gone out and gotten for myself. She's a nice change from my brongs - she's bomb-proof whereas the brongs are shell-shocked, lol

Re: Boom-Boom update
Wow shes awesome. Love her colouring. How is her temperment? I assume by fearless you mean she is not nippy or anything. I might get something like her next year. We want our next snake to be something different that the top 10 if you know what I mean.

Well, if she's hungry (which she always is) she'll strike at anything that moves, myself included. If you startle her, she can go either way but she usually holds her ground and waits for the next move. If you get careless at feeding time, you're quite likely to make the news as a statistic.
However, after the initial few moments to realize it's just me, she's great fun. You do still have to know how to behave around her because she *is* a Blood through and through, but compared to my brongs she's a real treat.
The brongs startle really easily and scare themselves all the time when they're out, she does not - she just boldly bulldozes forward while keeping a very close eye on anyone around. She's fine to work with when she's out and about, and she doesn't even flinch when I have to take her down from something like a high shelf she's about to tumble off of or the hanger rod in the closet of their room or something, but again, you really do have to understand what a Blood is all about and accept their shortcomings before you try this at home, so to speak
You're in Kitchener, swing by and meet 'er some time
