PK had his seized by the govt. not his wrong doing but theirs through some nefarious officials. His died in their care.
Gavin Bedford is the man with his hand on the trigger and hopefully he has some success soon. Me personally have no interest in ever owning one but would love to see one in the flesh even just in zoos.

It's an albino Olive python, the other albino species here in OZ (we also have albino spotted pythons). Though it's not taking off as well as the Albino carpets due to their shear size and some what unprecictable disposition. Olives are a big snake that can be tempremental.

how sad that an interfering government idiot, takes peters oenpellis and preceded to kill them with their bad husbandry
peter must have been gutted and very angry at these idiots mate
on a less selfish note,i'd be happy to see them thrive a liitle more and build their numbers up in the wild
it would be very sad indeed if these guys were to become extinct
thanks for the constant great info (as always),on all things oz mate
re gavins website
imo, oenpellis for £10,000 a pair is not too much to own the first of these beauty's in captivity
his albino olives are one of,if not thee best carpet i've ever seen
you are so lucky to live in the mother land my friend
cheers shaun

Re: How about some jags?
Its very unfortunate Peter lost his snakes, that must have been devastating... the governments really seem to have no clue regarding any animals...
I had no idea the oenpelli python had light blue tongues, that is very cool! I wonder if that is a common trait or just that one photo. I sure wish I had $4000 and a few friends to go find out though!
Also, not sure you meant to say the best carpet you've ever seen, hehe...

Re: How about some jags?
Yeah our weather right now is none to kind on the reptiles either... Canadian winters to say the least(though I live in Canada's California so I can't complain) but where theres snow, theres s'no' reptiles.... What I would give to find wild carpets instead of garters in my backyard though....

to date the only way that has been foung to produce a leusistic carpet python is.....
jaguar x jaguar
sadly the leucy's only live at most for a few hours out the egg, thats if they even make it out in the first place mate
leusistic carpets are the super form of the jaguar mutation
cheers shaun

Re: How about some jags?
I can't stand it anymore! All of your beautiful carpets make me want another one! (I had a Jungle about 8 years ago. He was a great snake!) The only problem would be choosing one! There are so many more varieties now!!! Jags are so beautiful!

Re: How about some jags?
Olives aren't carpet pythons though are they? I thought they were liasis... maybe I'm wrong, I'll do some reading! Definately get a carpet python snakehill, jaguar siblings are cheap, everywhere, and make great pets. Look at my avatar, he was a free snake....
