Same for gators & rattlesnakes- they are sold as food and their hides are turned into clothing. I abhor the practice and do not eat or wear anything that is of an animal I will not first use as a food source.
Generally, we do not torture an animal (sewing it's mouth shut, removing teeth)for entertainment purposes. This is just wrong.

I'm vegetarian and I don't use any animal products as much as I can help it. My dad bought my car with leather interior, so I can't do anything about that, but I personally never buy leather or reptile skin or fur products if I have a better choice.
