Question 'those guys' - I still need your help

hi,everyone..
i posted a thread about these guys a few weeks back...but there was no luck..

here's a brief story:
i bought them from a vendor, who had no scientific idea whatsoever.all he told me to feed them was milk/water;guess he doesn't care whether they live on or not.i googled stuff and identified them as Ahaetulla Fronticincta.

problem is,they still haven't eaten a thing.it's been 2 weeks+ ....
so if you could suggest anything,it'd be a big help for me....

thanks...

Re: 'those guys'

Wish I knew beyond what I told you, if you're feeding them right they will eat once they are hungry. They look healthy to me.
If possible change their living conditions.?

Re: 'those guys'

What have you tried feeding them? If I remember correctly, these snakes are lizard eaters.

Re: 'those guys'

Maybe try to change their living situation as Stephan suggested.
i don't know anything about this species, and I'm not finding much on search engines. Most species of snakes are stressed when kept together. This, or some other stress factor, may be putting them off. 2 weeks isn't too long for a snake to go with out eating, I wouldn't worried yet. Offering them food too often when they aren't hungry might stress them out? Have you given them any time since bringing them home to just settle in? (This means no handling, offering food, moving around, or giving them any reason to stress until they are used to and comfortable in their environment. )

If none of these seems to be the issue then just wait another week or so and see if they are hungry then.
Best of luck.

Re: 'those guys'

They look like some type of vine snake...I would bet 100 bucks that they are.

And since I think I am right I am gonna say they are NOT gonna be happy if you are keeping them in that pink thing. They are strictly an aboreal species that need to have plenty of places off the ground to hang from. And as someone else said they are lizard eaters as well as being bird eaters. So you are probably gonna want to stick with those two things as an offer to feed...especially if they were wild caught.

Also I want to think that they are venomous as well but I haven't done a ton of research. I think they are similar to hognose snakes being rear fanged however. Dunno how venomous they are.

Re: 'those guys'

Fish eating species, I would separate them, give them lots of vines and branches to climb. Lots of fake foliage to hide behind and feed fish.

Re: 'those guys'

If that pink thing is their living enclosure i have a great idea. Take it outside into the nearest wood forest - put it on the floor, take off the lid and leave. Go back the following morning and get your "pink thing".

Re: 'those guys'

Id start by separating them doing as much research as possible get ther environment set up right and give them time to settle snakes can go quite some time without eating so I wouldn't stress to much and and realize that the others are only concerned for the snakes I would recommed doing your research beforehand next time.

Re: 'those guys'

Damion, thats the problem. People just haven't done the research, not him, everyone. The information is simply unavailable.
