Re: The "Bite Club" thread
Just check the girth of the snake, with most snakes you go with a rat thats just a big wider then the widest point on the snake. With bp's and their teardrop body shape there might be a slightly different rule, but its easy to tell whats too big.

Re: The "Bite Club" thread
Our BP is taking rats about 1.5 time or slightly less than the thickest part of its body - it is kinda crazy cos the rat is probably 3 or 4 times as wide as the BP's "neck"

round 1 to the scrubby then mate
you look like you done a few rounds with tyson
glad he missed your eye and its only superficial my friend
you bought that hook yet ?
if not radiator rollers make great hooks.
you get them cheap from diy stores and they're used for painting down the back of radiators
just break off the roller and your left with a good snake hook
gotta love scrubbies, heat seeking missles with teeth
cheers shaun

Re: The "Bite Club" thread
Dam now that had to hurt. There's so much blood it's hard to tell where the bite actually is.
Snake tongs would most likely be the best for handling. That way you can keep the pointy end away from your face.

Re: The "Bite Club" thread
No Chuck didn't really hurt. Surprised me, as I was keeping a close watch on him and I was wearing gloves so he didn't get my hand again. Good thing I had my glasses on. I'll get a pic today that shows the bruising around my eye.

You never interact with GTP's enough to get bitten by one!

Re: The "Bite Club" thread
Wow, excuse my language but those scrubs seem to be little piss-ants. Is that just their temperament? They beat Retics out of first place, huh?

Retics are NOT biters after they pass about 6 feet, outside of feeding response.
A LITTLE work and they are dolls.
