They would be much more stressed out if you bought a whole bunch and kept them in the same tank, and buying a whole bunch and hoping some live is not a good way to look at getting into a species. I just want to point out that that is not a good way to go about breeding, you should know the species you are planning on breeding before you breed them IMO.
Get one from a reputable breeder to ensure it has no parasites etc and it should do fine if you are caring for it correctly.

Rough Greens are not bred in Captivity that I know of. They are all wild caught. The snakes are worth $40 and are hard to keep alive let alone breed so seems to be not worth peoples time.

I have not kept them but someone I know has had them and with no luck. She had 3 (not at the same time) and all of them died living no more than a month or so. I think only one of them ate......but not enough. I do know that some people have had great success with them though. Usually it is people who purchased 3 or more at a time and had one or so live.
