My brand new BP just went missing and hasn't eaten since i baught him last saturday, feeding was supposed to be today so im sure he's hungry....He was still particularly shy and all and i have looked in all spots i can think of, under the stove,fridge, couch, bathroom and a lot of other places. I turned the temp down and left a warm center area in the room with a hopper and fresh water. Is that really all i can do or do i have other options to lure him out or places i should look? i miss him=[[[[[[[

Maybe move the warm spot with food & water near the vivarium? Close off/seal off the room if possible--though it may have already moved on out, sometimes they just go to the nearest safe-feeling place. Also, keep in mind that snakes can get _into_ things like couches and stoves--check under the stove again, then--if possible--pull it out and check inside the back. Same with the fridge and couch. Don't move anything without checking under it carefully first. If you haven't already, check behind books on bookshelves.

Also, while you're searching, get some good locking clips for your vivarium so this can't happen again. BPs are stronger than you think and can lift a screen top pretty easily if it's only weighted to hold it on.

Ugh, I want pictures of the tank and the area around the tank. I hate missing snakes. My female albino bci got out and I tore the place apart and finally found her.

Can you get pictures? We might be able to point out some likely places to look.

Congratulations! You must be so relieved! At least, you are if he's OK, and as you don't say anything horrible happened, I'm assuming he's OK. Have you figured out how he got out so you can prevent it from happening again?

Well it's a funny story, i went to the kitchen for some ketchup and she (i recently found out shes a female XD) was on top of the microwave next to the fridge! I have no idea how since i had looked there a few times before but i was so relieved~!
This is my little girl, not yet named, I might be wrong but in my opinion she has a gorgeous color. =]

Heres yet another predicament i'm in. Shes only about 5 months old so shes still young and she stopped eating, its been 2 weeks now! I'm worried and i dont know what it might be. Her enclosures temp is in a good temp range from one side to another and she has a hide and climb and she drinks but wont eat the F&T mice i got her. Should i try live maybe? any suggestions would be helpful!

You might need to just leave her be for awhile. She's had a very wearying adventure, you know, on top of just moving in! Most likely she's feeling pretty stressed. Just leave her alone for a couple of weeks; don't even handle her for awhle. Continue to monitor the temps & humidity and provide fresh water. In a couple of weeks, try again. Also, if you're in a part of the country where winter temps are setting in, that could be affecting her appetite. At any rate, you don't need to worry too much yet, OK?

One trick I've heard of to try (when you do try again) is to thaw the F prey item in the enclosure so the smell permeates her atmosphere; it might stimulate her appetite.

i got her eating, i switched to live prey and shes doing very well now =]
