Sexing baby pygmys

Is there a way to sex young R. Brevicaudatus or do I just have to wait till they mature?

I'm pretty sure you have to wait until they mature. I've even heard of people buying adult 1.1's and having 2.0's or 0.2's.

Yeah I have some that hatched about a month ago and some that are 2 weeks old today. Such tiny little guys.

Congrats, brevicaudatus or something other? I LOOOOVE pygmys, haven't had the pleasure of keeping any yet. The first time I see any available I'm definately jumping in and taking them.
I always see your classifieds, do you import or breed? What are all the species that you keep?

The only pygmys I have right now are Brevs. Currently I have vields, yellow crested jacksons and the R. Brevs for chams. Pretty well everything I sell on here are ones I have bred myself. But I'd like to get into importing sometime theres lots of cool chams out there I'd love to try my hand at keeeping and breeding.

The babies can be sexed at birth. The males will have a much larger beard. Also you will see that the dorsal crest is much more pronounced in males and extends down onto the tail. The tail will also be longer on males.

Oh ya they are tiny! I have some Rhampholian nchisiensis ready to hatch and these should be even smaller than brev's.

On some of the species I have hatched I have found that a small lighted magnifying glass helps.

You may be able to tell by the tail. Males have longer ones and tend to be a draker color. Males eye turrets have a yellow stripes too but probably wont be able to tell until they mature. Have any pics?

Haha CanadianJackson I just looked at your pictures, you look almost EXACTLY like the guy who got me into chams! Craig Goldie, he was like 6'5'' and had the bald head and beard and was a big guy and a biker with all the tats and everything. That's awesome! I went to his house once and he had about 15-20 species of chameleons. He had B. decaryi, B. perarmata, Fischer's, quadricornus, a leucistic (he called it pastel) veiled, montiums, and lots of panthers, that's all I can remember though, sure wish I could go there again now that I know more about chameleons. He's gotten out of the hobby though in the past 3 years and I can't locate him at all.
