fluval 204 filter

does anyone know why this product would work better for a 30 gallon tank over a aquaclear 200? The reason I ask is because the fluval costs 150$, and the aquaclear costs 40$. Why would anyone spend that money if the ac works just as good?

It doesnt work as good...it just moves the same amount of water, big deal, the whole idea with canister filters are that you can fill them with more stuff...ie peat, ammonia remover, carbon...etc etc...it has a larger surface area of active ingredients to remove stuff....aqua clear does not....they are effective, but no where near that of a canister type filter.
