Here are some pics of my cages.

This cage was designed for my own personal use. It is designed for boa constrictors. Each cage is 72" wide, 24" deep and 20" high. The total height is 88".
Each cage has a ceramic infrared heat emitter with a wire guard, a KANE heating pad under the floor, a fluorescent light with timer, casters and air vents. The bottom of each cage is sealed with a clear, high build epoxy finish to aid in cleaning, and prevent water damage to the unit. The cage has sliding tempered glass doors with locks, to ensure that animals stay in, and children stay out.

This unit was designed and built for the Michiana Humane Society to house homeless iguanas. It measures eight feet wide, two feet deep, the top cage is 48" high, and the bottom is 20" high. Other features are basically the same as listed above.

They look great and I love that middle pic, is that you laying down in the cage?? LOL

When you say the Kane heat mat is under the floor, do you mean it's under as in on the roof of the cage below or have you got subfloor and then substrate level floor with the mat sandwiched between??? They look great and I'm curious.

Awesome!

Don't suppose that you have the plans for that top enclosure? Hehe... I'd love to build something just like it -- or almost just like it -- mine wouldn't end up looking half as nice... hehe

And ditto to Tay's heating question

Good job!

Hi Sophia,
Yes that is me in the cage. My wife was mad at me so I had to sleep somewhere...LOL

The Kane heat mat is in between the two cages under the floor. There is a 2" air space between each cage. So the roof of the lower cage is not the floor of the top cage. This way I never have to clean the heat mat or worry about the boa getting burned.

Clownfishie - I don't have any plans for the cages yet. I wll be working on them soon. Most of my things are designed as I go.

Lance - That was my ad in the Reptiles magazine. They are not difficult to build, just time consuming. They are fairly heavy since they are made of wood, but I don't have an actual weight. The three cage system comes apart in two separate pieces so it can be moved - otherwise it's just too difficult to maneuver.

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments, I do appreciate them )

Take Care,
Tom
