Hello everybody!
I have done a lot of research and I am finally ready to get my first snake! I am looking at getting a garter snake. If anyone has any first time snake advice let me know! Hoping to get a minimum of 40 gallon long bio active tank (as I eventually hope to get a small colony) I am also debating on using feeder fish (I know you can only feed certain species of fish) and possibly having a small pond of feeder fish inside the tank (not sure about this one though)
Graters are great starter snakes. I had a checkered garter as my first snake and i used to feed it minions by hand. I would also feed guppies from time to time, but I personally stayed away from any gold fish.
