New Vivarium Build
I was planning to start this thread once I actually had the vivarium... but I'm too excited to wait any longer!
I know someone from where I volunteer who made several terrarium-esque display cases for storing large mounted birds, so I asked if he could make me something similar.
The dimensions are 2x2x4 feet.

Re: New Vivarium Build
Well, until I figure out what I'm doing for college, I'll just be keeping plants in it, but I'm going to design it so it'll be safe for crested geckos.

Oh ok cool!!
I didn't want to burst your bubble and tell you that height wouldn't work for most snakes. Phew!
That'll be a super cool gecko Viv though!!

Re: New Vivarium Build
Update time! I got it painted today.
It just needs the glass and wheels and it'll be finished!
Now I need to start thinking about how I want to seal the wood... Right now I'm considering some kind of pond sealant.

Re: New Vivarium Build
...
That looks a lot like a telephone booth but without the telephone.
There's nothing wrong with that, of course. It simply freaked me out a little when I saw the photo.

Re: New Vivarium Build
I thought the exact same thing!
I should have painted it blue and called it the Tardis...

That would be amazing...maybe this will inspire some interesting name choices for the new inhabitant(s).

It's that time again–update time.
The glass is in and I've got it home now.

Re: New Vivarium Build
Thanks!
I can't wait to start doing the fun stuff, such as decorating, but I have to order some sealant first... Oh and get some masking tape.

Re: New Vivarium Build
Well, I have all the supplies for sealing it, now I just have to work up the courage to go ahead and do it.
I've heard that Pond Shield can be a bit difficult to work with, but hopefully it goes fine.
