I have some IRIS brand weatherproof locking storage containers that I use as spare enclosures. For something like a bamboo rat, I'd consider them escape proof. The corners may be able to be pried by a larger snake, but it shouldn't be a problem for what you're keeping. Plus there's this foam lining inside the lid that makes it airtight when locked. The only way you'd have an escape is if you drilled the airholes that big.
