My mom bought a Nikon D3200 because she wanted a DSLR for her own uses as well, and I was taking some test shots with it. So far, everything is from the auto setting while I start testing out the manual stuff, but although it has some troubles with certain colors (namely Sanji's color tbqh), it's actually letting Nymeria shine! You can see her pink sides so well now. 
For now, this is what I will be using but next month I'll be buying a Canon Rebel that will become my regular camera.
It's too bad these cameras aren't one-handed, I'll miss the ease of my PowerShot.

With flash on my hand (tried to set her down on top of the T12, but she did not enjoy that at all - I should get a small branch to set her on for future photos).
