Question Burmese Python Enclosure Size

So I am getting a baby burm and he will be about 18"-24" and about 3 months when he get here and I will be keeping him in a 20-30 gallon tank for a month or two (if he doesn't out grow it earlier!).
I am planning on custom building him an enclosure and i have the space and materials to build his a sturdy 8' wide by 4' deep by 2' high.

Is this too big??? I always thought bigger was better but I read an old thread on this subject and a moderator was saying that 6' by 3' is all you need and all you really should have for an adult burmese python or else they will get stressed out. Is this true?? I plan to have some wood pieces, hides and large fake plants so he won't just be out in the open.

Let me know what you think would be the best enclosure size for an adult male (non-powered) male burm. Thanks!
