Are Mosquitoes a Problem?

So, for those of you who don't know, I have two female CWD's who sometimes get to go in their outdoor enclosure when the weather is forgiving. Unfortunately, we have a river that's in walking distance from the house and a canal runs through the middle of our backyard that's always full of green, stagnant water. Obviously now, mosquitoes are a big problem here and I'll find myself with a new bite every day. I've never found a bite on my water dragons, however, I just want to be safe rather than sorry. Do you think mosquitoes are a problem? If so, do you think if I draped that bug-net stuff over the chicken wire, that it would stop these pests? Thanks for your input
