Converted bookcase

We've converted this bookshelf to hold rubbermaid containers...

the bookshelf was easy to convert, just remove the books and adjust the shelves. the dimensions are about 3' wide by 6' tall and 10" deep.

containers were 2.07 from walmart and currently things will be heated via ambiant temps but should we wish to heat 1 end we can run 11" heat tape down the back of the book shelf.

We've chosen to double stack the bins instead of putting in extra shelfs. It's not as nice as the rack system katey designed and we built, but it's cost effective (we received a few shelving units for free from when an office moved.) We may go back and play with the design a little more but this is basicly the poor woman's rack.

when i took the pic We didn't have all the tops on but the rack will hold 52 rubbermaids about 12"X8"X5" (5.2L). It's not the greatest pic but it's not bad for 2 trips to walmart. (we couldn't buy all the rubbermaids in 1 trip)
