Breeding Mealies

Hey Guys,

I know this forum is primarily for pet invertebrates, but I wanted to ask about breeding mealworms. Samba's Reptile Rescue can't afford to keep purchasing food items for our residents so we've begun to allow some mealworms to pupate and become beetles. Already we've got about 7 beetles and I was just wondering what I should do to encourage these insects to produce babies? I feed them plant materials and keep them in a critter keeper for now. I'm also concerned about over-breeding, as I know they probably have babies in the hundreds, so anyone with advice please let me know what you think!
