Identifying Mites?

So today while handling my snake i noticed he had two tiny little bugs on him. One was tiny and black, the other was white and even smaller. After seeing these I changed his substrate and soaked all his decorations in hot water. Looking at pictures of mites, they don't look to be mites but I'm still concerned. He is my only snake, so I'm not sure how he would've gotten mites if he never had any to begin with. Just don't get how they coudlve gotten in the tank. Any advice is welcome and appreciated. I'll try to get a picture of one of the bugs if I find any more of them

edit: they are far too small to photograph. Found another tiny white one on him and couldnt get a good picture.
