thermostats
I'm looking for a bit more insight on thermostats... More so the "Vivarium Electronics VE-100 Thermostat" does anyone use this? I know most of you guys use Herpstat, and I'm sure for good reason, but I'm looking for a cheaper alternative as it will only be controlling a heatpad for my cal-king scream.
That being said, how accurate are probes on glass tank floors?
Im off tomorrow to pick up a temperature gun to shoot the temp ontop on the heatpad as it feel pretty hot to my touch,yet the thermometer prob that sits on it only reads 74°. For now i just laid out a couple layers of newspaper and added threw some more Aspen shavings in to get her off the glass a bit more till i know the temperature for sure. As is she usually just uses her cool hide
