New to snakes!
Hello, I am a new snake mom. I have never owned a reptile before, as most of them scare the crap out of me. I recently got a ball python from my friend - her name is Addie, and she is adorable! I had never considered myself a "snake person," but I love this specific snake, and talked him into letting her go. Hopefully I supplement my knowledge of snake care from here. I find myself freaking out over every little thing with her (is she breathing too hard? Why does she like the dog so much? Was that rat too big? Is her cage set up right? A week seems like a long time between meals...And the list goes on and on...) as I am more familiar with the care of farm animals and dogs. I am glad to have found a place where I can ask questions, should the need arise. Google has been a source of a lot of conflicting information about things and makes me worry that I am not doing this right. I want her to be a happy snake!
