Hey all,
Ive always been into snakes, but I think moving to Rattler-rich Arizona back in September has resparked my snake interest. My wife has been scared of snakes her whole life, but my 3.5 year old daughter and I love em and somehow I talked her into possibly getting a snake.
So last weekend we visited the local reptile shop and checked a few out. I ended up holding an extremely well behaved, healthy, and beautiful 3.5' black and white King Snake. I actually got my wife to do something she never thought she'd EVER do.......she touched the snake I was holding. Tried to get her to hold it but she said "baby steps".
I think she was impressed with how tame it was. We decided to buy a King Snake book and we are planning to go back and pick up an adolescent twin of the 3.5' I held. Seems like these are a great first snake to start with and Im extremely stoked about it. As soon as funds are available, were heading back to pick up the adolescent we found.
